Not bad, I don’t hate the “raptor” hood from the SLP Firehawk.

That’s UMI suspension overhaul money, which will hopefully be the next major thing I do.

What have you done to your car?

No...I want the 120 hp per liter, 9000 rpm, forged internals, bulletproof reliable, variable valve timing and lift controlled engine. NOT the ancient pushrod engine. :P

It’s pretty much bone stock, I’ve got a set of WS6 wheels in the garage, but they need some work.

Vs. a 350 hp, 350 lbs/ft, even more reliable, cheaper LS1. Nah.

It’s an ‘02 so it already has it.

It has more power but at what cost?
Way, way more g/sec in fuel at any running condition, idling, WOT, and anything in between.
Heavier, more moving parts, requires more cooling, bigger pumps, oil capacities. Not to mention you’d have to upgrade to a heavier diff and clutch and tranny to handle the extra grunt. So in the end you end up with a Corvette. What was the point in that?
Plus, you lose the joy of wringing out that engine and hearing it sing at F1 engine speeds.
Power isn’t everything brother.

Marginally heavier, ~75 lbs. The LS1 is all aluminum, and overhead cams add weight. The fuel economy is a wash at worst, favoring the LS1 at best.
I don’t have anything against the F20C, but the LS1 isn’t the stone-age gas hog it’s often portrayed as.

I’ll agree with ya. LS engines do get really nice fuel economy somehow...but still the way big displacement V8s drive just isn’t for me personally. I have found lowering the weight in the power-to-weight ratio always leads to more fun than increasing the power.

I think it’s because they make so much torque down low. My TA idles at about 500 rpm and only turns 1500 rpm at 80 mph. As for streetable fun, caning the F20C on a back road sounds like a riot.
Also, LS6 Miata is awesome.

They’re polished aluminum with a clear coat, which is annoying. No chrome.
